Pastor- Chris O'Guin

Rev. Christopher O’Guin was ordained in 1976 at Grace Baptist Church in West Hollywood Florida where he was serving as Associate Pastor. Pastor Chris graduated from Florida Bible College in 1976 with a B.A. in Religious Education and minors in Pastoral Theology and Biblical Theology. He has served as a Pastor for 34 years. The last 20 years he has spent in the Rowan Baptist Association. While there he served in most associational offices including twice President of the Pastor’s conference, North Carolina Baptist State Convention Resolutions committee, Chairman of the committee on committees, and Chairman of the Director of Missions search committee. While at Community Baptist in Salisbury from 1993-2009 Pastor Chris led Community in three building projects with the last being a new worship center, saw over 600 additions to the Church, and over 400 baptisms.

Charles Morrow, Minister of Music/Youth Pastor

Charles is a 2004 graduate of the Lenoir Rhyne College School of Fine Arts. There he obtained a Bachelors degree in Music as well as a degree in Sacred Music. In other areas of his education, Charles was asked to be the Assistant Conductor of the Lenoir Rhyne ACappella Choir in their 2003 European Tour. He has also been under the direction of such known conductors as; Weston Noble (Luther College), Anton Armstrong (St. Olaf College), Andre Thomas (Florida State University) and Craig Dennison (The American Boy Choir in Princeton, NJ).

Charles has been a choral director in churches and schools in the Statesville and Charlotte areas and is very excited about his ministry opportunities here at North Kannapolis. He is currently an instructor with Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte and is the Conductor of the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus, a vocal ensemble class from CPCC.

Mrs. Timisha Robinette, Administrative Assistant:  Publicity/Promotions-

Timisha is the always smiling face when you enter our church office.  She has been with North Kannapolis since March of 1979, and is a great asset.  She has an Associates Degree in Science from Kings College in Charlotte, NC.

Timisha and her husband, Ed, have been married for 34 years. She is an active member of North Kannapolis and a member of the Adult Choir.  Some of her hobbies include antiquing and visiting Bed & Breakfast Inns.

Mrs. Margaret Propst, Administrative Assistant:  Finance-

Margaret is always eager to help you when you enter the church office or on the phone.  In 1981 she became a part of the staff at North Kannapolis.  She has her Accounting Degree from Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC.

Margaret has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.  She is an active member of North Kannapolis and a member of the Adult Choir.
